2006-12-20 16:40:04 I don't like canned food. When I was in middle school, I went through a longish phase of what I considered constant vigilance (no, not extreme irrational paranoia). I would wear cargo pants (or shorts) at all times and every pocket and strap had doo-dads (think pieces of rope, mini flashlights, numerous cutting implements and iodine tablets) that I would need in case I had to suddenly run and survive in some ridiculous emergency situation. I'd transfer the contents of my pockets from pant to pant every morning and was constantly thinking of what else I would need. Thankfully, I have since lost the ability to take myself seriously, and now live a life of willful naivete.
